How to Write an Address Correctly

A correctly written address includes:

  • name (first and last name of a natural person or name of a legal person)

  • street, house and apartment number, outside cities, towns and hamlets, farm name

  • village and municipality name

  • zip code (written on the last line before the name of the city or county)

  • city or county

  • country (for international mail items)

Worth Knowing

  • Write the address in Latin letters and Arabic numerals.

  • Be sure to write the name of the destination country in English or French.

  • Do not use abbreviated names, letter abbreviations, numbers or symbols that are not internationally well-known.
